The Waterfall Shawl Crochet Pattern is a quick make that’s all half double crochet! It’s a great boomerang style shawl that is beginner level.
For this shawl I used just 2 100g skeins of worsted weight yarn. I used yarn from my KnitCrate subscription box. The yarn I used is 2 skeins in very similar colors so there is a small fading of the two colors. I think a bright contrast would be so fun, too!

Thank you Brean for another lovely free pattern. I really appreciate this.
So excited to try this pattern! I love the tip to use the knit crate yarns- the patterns that came with my last month’s order were dismal. Thanks So much Breann!
do you work in the chain 2 at the end of the row?
No 🙂

You’re welcome!!
Love the look of this! Have you used variegated yarn? The colours are really nice?
I am trying this pattern, but I’m not sure if I’m missing something. Is this the full pattern for the shawl or just a trial of the pattern? I’m on row 34, but it doesn’t link like it’s going to be a shawl. It’s very narrow.
Hi! This is the full pattern. Each row should increase by 1 stitch.
Oh! I missed that. I thought I wasn’t going to the last stitch, but I thought it was supposed to be the same number. Thank you!
Beautiful
Should I cut yarn when changing colors A&B or just carry yarn up along the side? Thanks.
Hi! I carried the yarn 🙂
Thanks
Please explain how each row increases by one stitch.
Hi! You’re increasing one side by 2 and decreasing the other by 1 ?
It’s beautiful
