Trinity Beanie Crochet Pattern

The Trinity Beanie Crochet Pattern has such great texture! This beanie uses the Trinity stitch (stitch video tutorial included) and the half double crochet in the third loop to create this look.

This hat is the 10th and final pattern in the Crochet Along for a Cause. We are making 1 hat per week to donate to a cancer center, hospital, school, or homeless shelter for 10 weeks. You can find all the details and hat patterns HERE.

75g worsted weight acrylic yarn (I used I Love This Yarn)
H/5.0 mm hook
yarn needle
scissors

TRINITY BEANIE CROCHET PATTERN

Make a magic ring

Round 1: ch 2, 8 hdc in ring, join to first hdc with sl st (8 hdc)

Round 2: ch 2, turn, 2 hdc in each stitch around, join to first hdc with sl st (16 hdc)

Round 3: ch 2, turn, *hdc in 1 stitch, 2 hdc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first hdc with sl st (24 hdc)

Round 4: ch 2, turn, *hdc in 2 stitches, 2 hdc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first hdc with sl st (32 hdc)

Round 5: ch 2, turn, *hdc in 3 stitches, 2 hdc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first hdc with sl st (40 hdc)

Round 6: ch 2, turn, *hdc in 4 stitches, 2 hdc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first hdc with sl st (48 hdc)

Round 7: ch 2, turn, *hdc in 5 stitches, 2 hdc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first hdc with sl st (56 hdc)

Crown diameter is approx 5.5”

To adjust sizing, add or take out increase rounds

Round 8: ch 2, turn, hdc TL in each stitch around, join to first hdc with sl st (56 hdc)

Do not turn in next 3 rounds

Round 9: ch 2, hdc TL in each stitch around, join to first hdc with sl st (56 hdc)

Round 10: ch 2, sc TL in each stitch around, join to first hdc with sl st (56 hdc)

Round 11: ch 1, sc in first stitch, sc3tog working in same stitch as last sc and next 2 stitches, *ch 1, sc3tog working in same stitch as last sc and next 2 stitches* repeat from * to * around to last stitch, sc in last stitch

Round 12: ch 1, turn, sc in first stitch, sc3tog working in same stitch as last sc and next 2 stitches, *ch 1, sc3tog working in same stitch as last sc and next 2 stitches* repeat from * to * around to last stitch, sc in last stitch

Round 13: ch 1, turn, sc in first stitch, sc3tog working in same stitch as last sc and next 2 stitches, *ch 1, sc3tog working in same stitch as last sc and next 2 stitches* repeat from * to * around to last stitch, sc in last stitch

Do not turn in next 4 rounds

Round 14: ch 2, hdc in each stitch and ch 1 around, join to first hdc with sl st (56 hdc)

Round 15: ch 2, hdc TL in each stitch around, join to first hdc with sl st (56 hdc)

Round 16: ch 2, sc TL in each stitch around, join to first hdc with sl st (56 hdc)

Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
