30g worsted weight acrylic yarn in 3 colors
H/5.0 mm hook
yarn needle

esc – extended single crochet (insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 1 loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops)

· ch 1 does not count as esc
· This hat is made from the top down in joined rounds.
· Striping pattern is: A, B, A, C

Length (not including knot): 5”

TOP KNOT BABY BEANIE CROCHET PATTERN
Make a magic ring
Round 1: ch 1, 6 esc in ring, join to first esc with sl st, pull ring closed tight (6 esc)
Round 2 – 18: ch 1, esc in each stitch around, join to first esc with sl st (6 esc)
Round 19: ch 1, 2 esc in each stitch around, join to first esc with sl st (12 esc)
Round 20: ch 1, *esc in 1 stitch, 2 esc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first esc with sl st (18 esc)
Round 21: ch 1, *esc in next 2 stitches, 2 esc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first esc with sl st (24)
Round 22: ch 1, *esc in next 3 stitches, 2 esc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first esc with sl st (30 esc)
Crown diameter is approx 3.5”.
To adjust sizing, add or take out increase rounds.
Round 23 – 32: ch 1, esc in each stitch around, join to first esc with sl st (30 esc)
Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Tie the top tube into a knot.
