Super Scarf with Pumpkin Pockets

September 14, 2024

Is anyone else ready for everything pumpkin? I sure am! Including the pumpkin pockets in this Super Scarf with Pumpkin Pockets Crochet Pattern! This super scarf is seriously super and can be worn in a few different ways. It certainly is warm & cozy! What better way to keep your fingers warm while waiting for your Pumpkin Spice Latte?! YUM! We wait all year for it to come… and it’s worth the wait. I don’t think I want to know how many I consume in the fall months.

Choosing the Right Yarn and Hook Size

When selecting the right yarn for your Super Scarf with Pumpkin Pockets, it’s important to consider the overall look and feel you want to achieve. Opt for a super bulky weight yarn in a color that complements your fall wardrobe, such as deep oranges, rich browns, or warm yellows. This will add a cozy and seasonal touch to your accessory. This pattern uses a large hook, P/15 mm hook. This will ensure that your stitches are the perfect size and your scarf drapes beautifully when worn. With the right yarn and hook size, you’ll be well on your way to creating a stunning piece that will keep you warm and stylish all season long.

Creating the Base of the Super Scarf

To create the base of the Super Scarf, you will start with you main color and by crocheting the back of each pumpkin pocket. Then, starting with one of the pumpkins, you will begin working the rows of stitches that will form the body of the scarf. Once the desired length of the scarf is reached, sew the other pumpkin to the end. Now you’re ready for adding the whimsical pumpkin pockets in the next section, bringing a touch of fun and functionality to your crochet project.

Assembling the Super Scarf with Pumpkin Pockets

Once you have completed the base of the Super Scarf, it’s time to assemble the pumpkin pockets that will bring this accessory to life. By following the step-by-step instructions provided in the next section, you will be able to create charming pockets that not only add a playful element to your scarf but also to keep hands warm this fall season!
