The new Caron Sprinkle Cake yarn is so fun that I wanted a fun pattern to go along with it!

This pattern makes a large cowl that fits loosely around the neck. I love the neutral colors in this yarn, with the specks of bright colors. It’s so fun and unexpected!

PATTERN
Materials
1 Caron Sprinkle Cake in Mocha Rainbow (any category 6 yarn will work)
9.0 mm hook (N)
Yarn needle
scissors

Pattern notes & stitches to know
Sl st – slip stitch
Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet
Dc – double crochet
Bobble – (photo tutorial included in pattern) *Yarn over, insert the hook in the stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook* (you now have an unfinished double crochet with 2 loops left on your hook) repeat from * to * 4 more times in same stitch, yarn over, pull through all 6 loops on hook
COWL
Ch 63 (can be any number of chains that is a multiple of 4 + 3)
Row 1: dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across (60 dc)
Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc in first stitch, *bobble in next, sc in next 3 stitches* repeat from * to * across, sc in last 2 stitches (15 bobbles, 45 sc)
Bobble Stitch
Yarn over, insert hook into next stitch, pull up a loop

Yarn over, pull through 2 loops (2 loops left on hook)

Repeat 4 more times (6 loops left on hook)

Yarn over, pull through all lops on hook


Row 3: ch 3, turn, dc in each stitch across (60 dc)
Row 4: ch 1, turn, sc in 3 stitches, *bobble in next, sc in next 3 stitches* repeat from * to * across to the last 4 stitches, sc in last 4 stitches (14 bobbles, 46 sc)
Row 5: ch 3, turn, dc in each stitch across (60 dc)
Repeat rows 2 – 5 until row 11
Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing. Bring both ends together, use your long end to sew them together with whipstitch.
Weave in all your ends.

I’m assuming you couldn’t make a scarf because of the self-striping nature of this yarn and the colors would be messed up.?
I made a cowl instead of a scarf because I only used 1 skein ? It can be made any size.
