The Spike Beanie Crochet Pattern uses a fun variation of the classic granny stripe, the Granny Spike Stitch!
This hat is the 12th pattern in the Crochet Along for a Cause. We are making 1 hat per week to donate to a cancer center, school, or homeless shelter all summer long. There’s always time to join! You can find all the details and hat patterns HERE.

That’s so funny because it reminded me of the same thing!

In the 60’s & 70’s Charlie Brown’s shirt was red & black…. Just a little history for you..
I love this pattern. Can’t wait to it. I currently send all my hats and beanies to Knots of Love in California. In fact, I heard from them today and am so pleased with what they did with all the things I sent them.
That’s so awesome!!
On last row but will add ribbing I wanted to add a picture but there doesn’t seem to be a place to do that.
Hi! No, I don’t think you can add photos to comments. You can share them on social media and tag me 🙂
This is a great pattern! I used a red heart stripe yarn and then I didn’t change colors but it changed colors for me. Thanks!!!
Awesome! Thank you so much!!
