The Snow Den Beanie Crochet Pattern has a fun slouchy shape. It uses only basic stitches and is a beginner level pattern. This pattern uses a light worsted weight yarn. To make it larger, use a heavy worsted weight and go up a hook size.
The Snow Den Mittens Crochet Pattern is also a beginner level pattern that matches this beanie perfectly! The pattern is available HERE.

Hi,
Like to make it for a newborn babygirl, what size do you recommend?
Greetings Marijke
Wow I love this Breann! Also like you colours. Will definitely make this set. Thank you very much. Have a blessed Christmas season💕Regards Melisha🇿🇦
Had to go to 9hdc and inc to reach the 8” diameter. Starting the decrease now and on round 12 I’ve started with 9hdc and then a dec. My question is I’m doing 9hdc, then 8, then 7. Do I stop the decrease at row 17 or do I keep going until I’m back at 5hdc? Also, the pattern didn’t say to start with a 6 hook so I started with a 5 which is what my yarn recommended. I now see it says switch to a 5 so I guess I should have started with the 6, lol, but since I started with a 5, should I now switch to a 4? Hope that makes sense and thank you.
Hi! So sorry for the confusion!! Yes go down a hook size. I’ll add that to the pattern 🙂 You can probably stop at 6 if it’s working up smaller than the pattern says.
hi, I love this hat and make it over and over but I find with some yarn it’s too big. So I stopped at the round 6 increase and did the two hdc rounds after. How do I decrease evenly from here and have it keep it’s length and shape? Thanks!
Hi! You can look at round 16 for decreasing 🙂
