SEWING

Line up the front and back right side out.

Use stitch markers to line up the bag along the bottom. I placed one at 8 of the lines of bobbles. Leaving the 2 at the top open.

Sew the front and back together by sc around. When working the sc, insert hook into top loops of both front and back panels.

Do not fasten off.

STRAP

Sl st to the next stitch on the front panel.

Row 1: ch 1, turn so your working on the inside of the bag, sc in same stitch, then sc in the stitch directly across on the back panel (2 sc)

Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc in both stitches (2 sc)

Row 3 – 158: repeat row 2 (2 sc)

Fasten off.

Leave a long end for sewing

Sew strap to the opposite side of the bag from where the strap started.

Fasten off.

Weave in all the ends.

  1. i love the dollar bag it can be used any were. when i make it i will 2 tings differently 1. i work a plain circle the same size as the bag then stitch on the inside of the side i will have as the front between the pattern and plain layers i put a circle of stiff material (not cardboard ) that way it can be washed if need with the bag. the other thing i will do is make shoulder cushion. the strap can be threaded through the cushion this way it’s movable stop the strap from making the shoulder uncountable

  2. Love this purse! Row 5, I have done 5 times and always end up with stitch count of 30….. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong…,can anyone help me??!!
