This Ribbed Bucket Hat Crochet Pattern has a fun, ribbed design. Post stitches are gradually added throughout to create this interesting texture.

100g worsted weight cotton yarn in 3 colors (I used KnitPicks Dishie)
G/4.0 mm hook
yarn needle
scissors

· This hat is made from the top down in joined, turned rounds.
· To make this hat larger, go up a hook size or 2. Do not add or take out increase rounds. The stitch count needs to remain the same.

Make a magic ring
Round 1 (ws): ch 1, 6 sc in ring, join to first sc with sl st, pull ring closed tight (6 sc)
Round 2 (rs): ch 1, turn, 2 sc in each stitch around, join to first sc with sl st (12 sc)
Round 3 (ws): ch 1, turn, *sc in 1 stitch, 2 sc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first sc with sl st (18 sc)

After the first colour change, are we actually supposed to repeat rounds 14 & 15 (as 16 – 27) instead of repeating rounds 13 & 14? As written, we’d have 2 consecutive rounds of sc and no way for round 27 to be the final repeat of round 13. Is the typo in round 15 “ch 1, turn, ch 1, turn,” not actually a typo as I had assumed? 🤔
