For this blanket I used 4 skeins of Caron Cake yarn. I love using self striping yarn for blankets. Takes the work out of making a color scheme and there are less ends to weave in.

berry stitch – yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through one loop on hook, yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through all 5 loops on hook

rs – right side

· written in US terms

· ch 1 does not count as sc

· ch 3 counts as dc

· To adjust the width add or take out chains as needed. Start with a multiple of 28 + 18. To adjust the length add or take out rows as needed. End with a row 12 repeat.

· Approx Finished size: 37” X 37”

Row 1 (ws): dc in 4th ch from the hook, dc in next 5 chs, *dc3tog over next 3 chs (this is the valley or bottom of the chevron), dc in next 12 chs, 3 dc in next (this is the peak or top of the chevron), dc in next 12 chs* repeat from * to * across to last 9 chs, dc3tog over next 3, dc in next 5 chs, 2 dc in last

Row 2 (rs): ch 3, turn, dc in same stitch, dc in next 5 stitches, *dc3tog, dc in next 12 stitches, 3 dc in next, dc in next 12* repeat from * to * across to last 9 stitches, dc3tog, dc in next 5 stitches, 2 dc in last

Row 3 (ws): repeat row 2

Row 4 (rs): repeat row 2
