The Jelly Beanie Crochet Pattern uses a fun stitch called the Bean Stitch! I love puff stitches and this is a great variation.
This hat is the 9th pattern in the Crochet Along for a Cause. We are making 1 hat per week to donate to a cancer center, school, or homeless shelter all summer long. There’s always time to join! You can find all the details and hat patterns HERE.

I love this pattern. I make hats for operation Christmas Child, children and adults at church, and children in school. I have not been able to make as many as I would like to this year due to health problems and yarn shortages in my area. I am going to write this pattern down and start on it this evening. Thank you for sharing your patterns. I appreciate it.
omg…lovin this one too…
Thank you!
Love this pattern can’t wait to make some men’s beanies for all the men in my life sons and 6 grandsons thank you. It’s hard to find makes for fellows
I am not understanding where to put the second row of bean stitches. I don’t have a gap other than the chain gap….
OK, then you can put it in the chain gap 🙂 it should make much of a difference. 🙂
After several Frogs and readings of the pattern, I discovered my error. It looks much better the way you wrote it out. Thank you!!
Love the pattern! Row 21, there is no 3rd loop. Was a hdc roll left out or looking at the picture, it looks like a row of sc. Thanks!
Hi! Round 20 should be a round of hdc. Sc into the 3rd loop from the previous round 🙂
Thanks! I must have skipped rnd 13 when I had the length needed. Sorry! I’m embarrased! Lol
I’m making several of the CAL patterns. I love them. The hats will go to Knots for Love. Thank you for the patterns.
Thank you so much!
