This Faux Knit Beanie Crochet Pattern uses a stitch that makes your crochet look like knitting! I love this stitch because it creates a thick fabric with full coverage.
This hat is the 4th pattern in the Crochet Along for a Cause. We are making 1 hat per week to donate to a cancer center, school, or homeless shelter for 12 weeks. There’s always time to join! You can find all the details and hat patterns HERE.

Hi
I did a test of this pattern with 4 weight yarn exactly as above using an H hook and 4 weight yarn and it came out a little tight on my 5 year old granddaughter. I love how thick this hat is. If I want to do an adult size would I go up 1 or 2 hook sizes? Thanks for any advice.
Hi! Yes, I would go up to a J hook 🙂 and maybe add an increase round. This is a very tight stitch
Thank you! I love the thickness!🤞🏻
