I have learned a lot from CAL’s 1-5. I might grumble, but I love the challenge and increasing my repetoire. This easy beanie comes at the right time and it is for men! I particularly love the short ribbed edge. My hats always feel unfinished if I do not do something to that edge. I haven’t even made the hat yet although I have started. The mega-crocheters who pump out multiples every week will have fun with this one. They’ll probably double their output and their creativity. Thank you!
Thank you so much!!
Hi Breann I recently joined you CAL for a cause beanies. I love them. They crochet so quick and easy…and I am no expert. Thank you for the kind initiative. Currently it is freezing cold in Cape Town, South Africa and I am planning to donate it to some homeless people. ❤️Craft@melisha?
Thank you for this pattern. I am going to try and make it for my brother’s friends. I have already made him a scared with a HDC pattern in 3 colors. I am going to attempt to make this hat, with the same 3 colors. The only issue is that he has a very large head… direct quote from him So I am waiting for him to measure his head so that I can make the hats the right sizes. I may leave you a picture of the hat and scarf on Instagram (@jaimeisaac635 ) FYI … not an expert yet, just learning. Thanks to you and all others that post their patterns I am able to continue practicing.
Awesome! Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing this pattern. I hope my husband likes his Valentine’s Day gift. Thinking about making him 3 hats a scarf… love the pattern yoo
Very simple and easy to follow pattern. My only problem is that mine came out to be way too small; closer to 18″ around which barely fits my head as an adult woman. However, I do think that most of the size discrepancy may be my fault. I do tend to crochet on the tighter side so I used a 6.5mm hook instead of a 6.0mm. I also think the yarn I used may have been a bit thin for a worsted weight (I used Lion Brand Basic Stitch Anti-Microbial)
Overall, I think this is a great beginner pattern that also looks nicer than the more common, boring beanie patterns out there.
