These Easy All HDC Beanie Crochet Pattern is made from a simple rectangle and take less than 2 hours to make! It is perfect for a gift or stocking stuffer.

Materials
150g bulky weight yarn (I used WeCrochet Brava Bulky in Cornflower)
L/8.0 mm hook
yarn needle
scissors
stitch markers

ch – chain
hdc – half double crochet
· written in US terms
· ch 2 does not count as hdc
· The starting ch is approx. the length of the hat. The number of rows is the circumference of the hat.
Sizes:
(Child, Teen/S Adult, L Adult) – The pattern is written in these sizes consecutively.
Approx Finished Size
Length (with fold): Child (7”) Teen/S Adult (8”) L Adult (9”)
Circumference: Child (18”) S Adult (19”) L Adult (21”)
Size Teen pictured on 11 year old
Gauge: 9 hdc x 7 rows = 4” x 4”
EASY ALL HDC BEANIE CROCHET PATTERN
Ch (29, 32, 33) – or until desired length
Row 1: hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across ((27, 30, 33) hdc)
Row 2 – Row (30, 32, 36): ch 2, turn, hdc in each stitch across ((27, 30, 33) hdc) – or until desired circumference
Do not fasten off.
SEWING
Fold the rectangle in half so row 1 meets the last row. Sew both sides together with a slip stitch. Fasten off. Leave a long end for sewing.


Now the rectangle is in a tube shape/Using the yarn needle, weave the long end in and out around the top of the beanie.

Pull the end to cinch the top closed.

Sew the top closed. Add a pom pom.
