This Easy All DC Triangle Scarf Crochet Pattern is just that… easy and all double crochet! It’s a great beginner pattern if you’ve never done a triangle scarf. This can be worn as a triangle scarf or as a shawl.
I used bulky weight (5) yarn for this triangle scarf to make it nice and cozy! I love how it drapes in the front. It can be worn as a shawl over the shoulders, too.

Hi Breann, this looked like such an easy pattern so I bought enough yarn to make 4 for Christmas gifts. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong and it’s probably something stupid but my count is just off. It was fine for row 2. Came up with 14 double crochets. Third row equaled 22 just what you called for. And so on.
30, 38, 46, 54 adding 8 double crochets in each row. Next row should be 62 but I’m getting 29 on one side (counted the 2 double crochets that go with the chain 2) and 31 on the other. 69 instead of 62. It’s been fine until this row. Can you figure out my mistake?
It’s probably something stupid. I love the pattern bc it’s easy but I’m obviously reading something wrong. Sorry to be bothering you but I want to make these so badly. Thanks!
Hi! I’m not sure without seeing it. Your count should go up 6 stitches one row, and then 8 stitches the next row. Alternating. You are repeating rows 2 & 3. Honestly, I’m always off by one or two stitches in the end 😉 If it’s not obvious you could probably leave it and you won’t be able to tell 🙂
You had the answer! I thought you went up 8 every row. This explains it. Thanks so much. I like your answer about being off 1 or 2 stitches! If you give a gift I’m sure no one will sit there and count Stitches! By the way, 2 more rows left on the half double crochet triangle scarf. I jump around a lot!
Breann, I just wanted to thank you again for taking the time to try and figure out what I was doing wrong. I appreciate your free patterns too. I’ve already bought some of your beautiful yarn and will continue to do so. I’ve really learned a lot from you. I was going to post something on Facebook about how kind you are about taking time to answer questions, but I was afraid you might get inundated with questions for help like me!!
Hi, I would love to download the pattern, but there is an error message:404 Page Not Found

Can you help?

Hi! Did you click on the big red graphic?
Too many popup ads. Drive me nuts.
Well, that’s how I have an income and take care of my family 🙂
The top of my shawl isn’t straight, it’s starting to veer off into a V shape…again not the bottom which is supposed to be a V but along the top…not sure if it’s supposed to do this and I should just stick with it and it’ll straighten out as the shawl grows or if I should start over… any ideas?
The top will not be straight across. It should curve up slightly 🙂
Hi Breann, this is my first time of making a shawl and it’s coming along brilliantly! Your pattern is so easy to follow. I’m even throwing in odd lines of different stitches that I’ve learnt to change it up a bit! Like Linda I think I’ll make them for Xmas presents for friends and family. Thanks for the great pattern!
Yay!! Thank you!!
