The Crown Clusters Crochet Stitch is a pretty stitch is super easy to create. It has a beautiful design and texture.
It can be used for scarves, headbands, but I think it would be gorgeous for an afghan! I used this stitch to make the Cluster Stripes Baby Blanket.
PATTERN
Materials
Worsted weight (4) yarn – I used I Love this Yarn in Yellow
5.00 mm hook
Yarn needle
Scissors

Pattern Notes & Stitches to Know
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
CL – cluster (*yarn over, insert hook into next stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops* repeat 2 more times, yarn over pull through all 4 loops on hook – photo tutorial in pattern)
Ch 3 at the beginning of each row counts as dc
CROWN CLUSTERS
Ch any multiple of 3 – for this swatch, I chained 30
Row 1: 3 dc in 5th chain from hook, *skip next 2 stitches, 3 dc in next* repeat from * to * across, dc in last stitch
Row 2: ch 3, turn, *CL over next 3 stitches, ch 1* repeat from * to * across, dc in last stitch
Cluster Photo Tutorial
Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops (2 loops left on hook)
Repeat in next stitch (3 loops left on hook)
Repeat in 3rd stitch (4 loops left on hook)
Yarn over, pull through all 4 loops
Ch 1, Repeat across
Row 3: ch 3, turn, 3 dc in each CL from previous row, dc in last stitch
Repeat row 2 and 3 for pattern
