Cluster Stripes Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

December 28, 2017

I went to Michael’s on a mission. I was looking to make this Cluster Stripes Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern that’s been in my head since before Christmas. (but gifts got in the way for a bit there… I’m sure you can relate 😉 )

I had all the colors in my cart and was ready to go when I spotted Caron Big Cakes in the exact same color scheme! SCORE! I’m all about less ends to weave in, especially for a baby blanket.

I used the Crown Clusters stitch for this blanket. It creates this beautiful texture. Fair warning, this stitch does have a habit of going a little sideways. Not too much, I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who noticed… but I did notice. I wet blocked the finished blanket and it fixed my problem just fine. I’m really pleased with the finished product!

  1. Hi Breann! This is such a gorgeous blanket and I’ve picked up the same shadowberry cake to make a blanket as well. Did you find that you had to manually change colors or did they naturally transition for each row in this pattern? Thank you! Hope you and your family are well during this crazy time.

  2. hello such a great pattern! looking forward to the finished product on my end here. That being said I’m doing mine in Caron big cakes , also but blueberry scone color. And I’m running into a problem in that it is starting to go askew. I have not missed a stitch. Keeping it pretty much the same tension row after row, so I’m not understanding why that’s happening. Did you have to block it when you were done? I am more than halfway through and don’t want to unravel at this point.

      1. Good to know. I just unraveled part of it. Lol. It was just bothering me so much. Thank you! I will forge ahead.
