I was able to make this adorable hat and scarf set with just 1 skein of yarn! Have you seen the new Caron Cupcakes? They’re the cutest skeins ever. They even come with a matching pom pom!! *dies*
I was surprised with how much I was able to get out of this little skein. I was planning on just a hat. But then I had quite a bit left over. I decided to add a scarf, so I just kept going until I ran out. I couldn’t be happier with this adorable set!

I was wondering how I would go about making this set for an eight year old?
Hi 🙂 When making the hat you can make the brim longer (about an inch or so). I hope this helps!
How did you get the hat and scarf the same colors? When I made my scarf I used all of the first color than second an so on. So how did you get the same color scheme for both. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
Hi! I didn’t do anything special to get the color order. Are you using the cupcake yarn?
Too perfect! I have one Mint Smoothie in my stash ($1 on clearance at Michael’s last year) 🙂
Yay!
