The Brunch Bucket Hat Crochet Pattern has a simple textured look with a subtle flared brim. This combined with cotton yarn makes it perfect for summer days. The long brim also makes this hat great for donation to your local cancer center.
This hat is the 1st pattern in the Crochet Along for a Cause. We are making 1 hat per week to donate to a cancer center, school, or homeless shelter all summer long. There’s always time to join! You can find all the details and hat patterns HERE.

Hi! First question on row 1 – are the stitches supposed to be DC or SC?
dc 🙂
Breanna, I think there’s a typo in the directions of the first round. It says do 12 dc. I think you want us doing sc since the last but says join to sc.
Fixed 🙂
Breann,
I’m confused, Row 1: ……12 sc….or 12 dc….? before I even start.
12 dc
1 of 12 patterns completed. Looking forward to next weeks pattern!
Yay! Thank you!
I started crocheting this Brunch Bucket Hat got to row 5 appears I am getting 60 stiches instead of 48. I think the pattern should be edited maybe. I tried several times and keep getting 60 instead of 48
Hello,
Once again, I am asking for clarification in row 5 it says 48 stitches I followed your pattern instructions, I am getting 60 stitches in row 5. I sent comments and it was pulled with no explanation. This pattern is a lot of confusion the way it is written. If I am doing something incorrectly I would like to know.
Hi! When doing the repeat you should have 8 stitches total for each repeat. Sc, dc, sc, dc, sc, then in the next (dc, sc, dc) all in one. Repeat that 6 times around 🙂
Your comment wasn’t deleted. I just hadn’t approved it yet.
Sorry don’t mean to be impatient, was a bit frustrated because I couldn’t figure it out. Thank You!
Thank you, much appreciated!
