For this top I used one of my favorite cotton yarns – CotLin from WeCrochet! I’ve used this yarn in another cute summer pattern, the Garden Party Top. Some other great DK yarn choices are Kindred (alpaca/cotton blend), Swish DK (superwash merino wool), or Alpaca Cloud (baby alpaca wool).

  1. I tried to click to save on my Pinterest board but that didn’t work….then I tried to see if I could order the PDF but that wasn’t working either……too bad, it’s a cute design.

    1. On round 18 you say “(skipping an entire side, this will be the first sleeve)”

How do you skip an entire side?
      Do I cut the yarn?

  2. Sorry….after posting my comment I could then save the pattern…..weird but whatever works, I guess. Thanks for the cute pattern.

  3. I’ve lost my cro-jo of late, but this is just the pattern to start me working on something new! Thanks so much!

  4. Simply BEAUTIFUL, Breann! I have made several of your patterns. Love your designs and patter directions! May I ask what size you are wearing above?

  5. I would love to crochet this but can I ask you how you got that very neat seam at the back of your work when you slip stitch at the end of each round?
I never have any luck and my seams are all wonky going in every which way BUT straight!

  6. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. If I haven’t said this in the past or if I have, I’d like to also thank you for your easy to follow teaching methods. I recently made one of your cardigans and you made it seem easy. Thank you.

  7. This pattern is lovely, I do have a question in regards to yarn weight. I have 2 weight cotton yarn, would that work for this or would I have to double it up?

    1. Hi Breann,

Do you happen to have a video tutorial on the lace part of the pattern? I’ve frogged so many times because I think I’ve done it incorrectly.

      Thank you!

  8. Hi, I have just started the Bahama blouse free pattern . Can you confirm row three is 2esc +2ch+2esc ?if so then I think your stitch count is wrong?.Im doing size small 72 st for row 1+2 then adding for row 3, 4st x4 st for corners not inc 2ch = 74 + 16= 90 ?
    So row 4 is 90 st plus 2st 2ch corners , not inc 2 ch = 90 plus 8 = 98
    Is this correct please?

    1. Hi! Yes, row 3 is correct. You are only adding 8 stitches (2 per corner) from round 2 to round 3. When placing 2 sc in one stitch in round 3, you are only adding 1 more, not 2 🙂

  9. Hi! I want to make this for my 10 year old, and the XS is still too big for her. She’s about 27″ around in the bust. Should I go down a half hook size…or follow the pattern and reduce the starting chain to 58? Then adjust throughout by the same ratio as I see the other measurements? When I go down to a 4.0 hook my swatch is 3.25″ by 3.25″ at only 14 rows.

    1. Hi! If you’re gauge matches, then yes, you can probably reduce the starting chain to 58 and adjust throughout 🙂

  10. I very much enjoy your patterns. Pass and now keep up the Great work thank you so much. Have A wonderful and Fantastic Day. Karen
