Materials
100g worsted weight acrylic yarn (I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby)
H/5,0 mm hook
yarn needle
scissors

Pattern notes & Stitches to Know
magic ring
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
dc – double crochet
sc – single crochet
fptr – front post treble crochet
fptr/dctog – front post double crochet double crochet together
dc/fptrtog – double crochet front post treble crochet together
rs – right side
ws – wrong side

· Written in US terms

· ch 2 does not count as dc

· ch 1 does not count as sc

· This hat is made from the top down in joined rounds.

· This pattern uses the Arrow Stitch (VIDEO TUTORIAL). The video tutorial is made in turned rows. The beanie is made with turned joined rounds.

Length: 8.5”
Circumference: 21”

ARROW BEANIE CROCHET PATTERN

Make a magic ring

Round 1: ch 2, 10 dc in ring, join to first dc with sl st, pull ring closed tight (10 dc)

Round 2: ch 2, 2 dc in each stitch around, join to first dc with sl st (20 dc)

Round 3: ch 2, *dc in 1 stitch, 2 dc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first dc with sl st (30 dc)

Round 4: ch 2, *dc in 2 stitches, 2 dc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first dc with sl st (40 dc)

Round 5: ch 2, *dc in 3 stitches, 2 dc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to the first dc with sl st (50 dc)

Round 6: ch 1, *dc in 4 stiches, 2 dc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first dc with sl st (60 dc)

Round 7: ch 1, *dc in 5 stitches, 2 dc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first dc with sl st (70 dc)

Crown diameter is approx 7.5”. 

To adjust sizing, add or take out increase rounds.

Round 8 – 9: ch 1, dc in each stitch around, join to first dc with sl st (70 dc)

Round 10 (ws): ch 1, turn, sc in each stitch around, join to first sc with sl st (70 sc)

Round 11 (rs): ch 2, turn, fptr around 3rd dc 2 rows below, *dc in next 3, fptr/dctog working the fptr around the same stitch with previous fptr and then dc in next stitch, dc/fptrtog working dc in next stitch and then fptr in 5th dc from previous fptr 2 rows below* repeat from * to * across to last 4 stitches, dc in next 3, fptr/dctog working the fptr around the same stitch with previous fptr and dc in last stitch, join to first dc with sl st (70)

Round 12 (ws): ch 1, turn, sc in each stitch around, join to first sc with sl st (70 sc)

Round 13 (rs): ch 2, turn, fptr around the dc in the center of the next “v” 2 rows below, *dc in next 3, fptr/dctog working the fptr around the same stitch with previous fptr and then dc in next stitch, dc/fptrtog working dc in next stitch and then fptr in the center of the next “v” 2 rows below* repeat from * to * across to last 4 stitches, dc in next 3, fptr/dctog working the fptr around the same stitch with previous fptr and dc in last stitch, join to first dc with sl st (70)

Round 14 – 20: repeat rounds 12 & 13 ending with a round 12 repeat

Round 21 (rs): ch 1, turn, sc in each stitch around, join to first sc with sl st (70 sc)

Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
